Missing teeth can cause many issues. These are the most common problems we see:

  • Nutrition suffers due to inability to chew foods effectively.

  • Embarrassment.

  • Teeth may shift and/or fall into empty spaces.

  • Decreased quality of life due to not being able to eat foods you enjoy.

  • Dentures and partials may slip or fall out when talking or eating.

What is a Dental Implant?

Dental implants are a tooth replacement solution that restores appearance and function. They can be used for both upper and lower teeth. Dental implants are made of the same biologically-compatible titanium as artificial knees, hips or other prosthetic appliances. After the implant is placed, a period of time (usually 3-4 months) is required for the surrounding bone to fuse to its surface and become anchored in the bone. You then see your general dentist to have impressions which get sent to the lab for fabrication of a custom restoration which then gets attached to the implant.

Dental implants have been used for several decades. Patients of all ages (16+) have chosen dental implants to replace single or multiple teeth or even to support dentures. Dental implants give full function and support and are much stronger than natural or existing teeth. Approved and tested dental implant systems are very successful.
