Tooth Removal
Tooth Removal is the process in which the surgeon extracts a tooth (or teeth). After you are anesthetized, the tooth will be removed. After your tooth is removed, the surgeon may 1) fill the extraction site with a bone graft, 2) allow the site to heal naturally, or 3) place an immediate implant. At the end of the procedure, the surgeon will place sutures. The area treated will then heal for two to six months. During this healing period, your surgeon will evaluate your healing and decide when you will be ready for the implant phase of treatment if you were not a candidate for immediate implant placement.
